Shangrila Resort Skardu

About Our Property

Shangrila Resort Skardu

The original "Heaven on Earth", Shangrila Resort Skardu sits on the shore of Lower Kachura Lake — the famous Shangrila Lake — about 25 minutes from Skardu in Gilgit-Baltistan. Founded in 1983, the resort is known for its red-roofed, pagoda-style chalets set among landscaped gardens, poplar groves and fruit orchards, framed by the peaks of the Karakoram.

Guests stay in lakeside rooms, cottages and Swiss-style villas, dine at the landmark resort restaurant, and take in the turquoise, heart-shaped lake that gives Shangrila its name — one of the most photographed views in northern Pakistan.
